To the Trailhead

Well it was quite the day.  Up and on the road by 7am and it might have been one of the most interesting car journeys I've ever experienced.

It was approximately 100 miles in total that took almost 10 hours 7 on "paved" roads and the other 3 on mud single track that wasn't for the feint of heart.  

It hasn't actually stopped raining since I arrived on Sunday night.  All of this rain is from the remnants of the cyclone that went through India a couple of days ago.  It is supposed to clear up maybe tomorrow by the next day if not.

Our tea house for tonight is directly next to a raging river so the sound of the water coupled with the rain will make sleeping fun.
